DS200FCGDH1BCA is the GATE DISTRIBUTION AND STATUS CARD (FCGD)
FCGD Board (DS200FCGDH1B)
The FCGD is an interface board between the LCI control and the bridge. The DS200FCGDH1BCA decodes SCR firing information from the DSPC processor board. It distributes cell gating signals for each bridge leg. The DS200FCGDH1BCA scales and processes bridge feedback signals then send status information back to the DSPC. This information includes voltage, frequency, current, current difference, zero-crossing, commutation, flux, ground fault, and overcurrent feedback. The FCGD communicates with the DSPC via the VME backplane. It connects with the bridge through fiber-optic cables.
The FCGD board is 6U VME Size (9.2×6.3 inches), built-in a six-layer PCB with surface mount components on both sides. The DS200FCGDH1BCA mounts in the same VME rack that houses the Digital Signal Processing Card (DSPC)
Some of the DS200FCGDH1BCA board functions are SYSTEM CLOCK- SYSTEM RESET-SYSTEM HEARTBEAT- FIRING COMMANDS- CURRENT FEEDBACK etc. For more detailed information on the FCGD, see publication GEI-100221
BOARD IDENTIFICATION
A printed wiring board is identified by an alphanumeric part number imprinted on it. For example, the GATE DISTRIBUTION AND STATUS BOARD is marked with part number:
DS200FCGDH#ruu
The DS200FCGD portion is the base number that identifies the printed wiring board, in this case, the GATE DISTRIBUTION AND STATUS CARD. The r and u digits are alphabetic characters that indicate the board revision level. The r digit reflects a functional change that is not downward compatible. It is essentially a new catalog number. The u digits represent revision levels that are downward compatible.
The H# identifies a group, which is a variation of a particular board. https://directturbinecontrols.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Board-identification.jpg
