DS200LDCCH1A MA
LAN COMMUNICATION
The DS200LDCCH1A MA Drive Control/LAN Communications board provides primary drive and I/O control functions for GE’s DIRECTO-MATIC 2000 family of drives and exciters.
Features of DS200LDCCH1A include:
- Microprocessor control and processing of drive, motor, and customer I/O functions
- Microprocessor control of local area network, LAN communications for drive I/O
- Application software and customer-specific configuration data for the drive
- Onboard operator interface for software adjustments and diagnostic testing
- hardware and software drive reset functions
In some applications, the DS200LDCCH1A can replace existing drive and LAN control boards.
DRIVE AND MOTOR CONTROL
The DS200LDCCH1A contains four microprocessors for a drive and motor control, application, and I/O functions:
- Drive Control Processor (DCP) at U1 on the LAN Communication Board
- Motor Control Processor (MCP) at location U21
- C0-motor Processor (CMP) at location 35
- LAN Control Processor (LCP) at locationU18
Board self-testing checks the correct functioning of these microprocessors and their associated circuitry. See the drive manual for fault codes related to the microprocessor self-test.
Refurbishing / Repairing
Because of its complex nature of the board, it’s always good to keep the board up to date. Like the DCFB board, ds200ldcc also raises many issues for the control system when it’s aged. Proper refurbishing of the LDCC improves its life and avoid an unplanned outage. Refurbishing of LDCC includes a complete overhaul of aging components and a full functional load test which assures extended life of the unit without trouble.
OPERATOR INTERFACE
Like the SLCC board, DS200LDCCH1A also includes a 16- character digital display and connector KPPL for adding an optional operator interface module. The operator interface module called the programmer consists of an alphanumeric keypad and display window. So it is used for diagnostic testing and software adjustments on the LAN Communications board.
BOARD IDENTIFICATION
The Board is identify using the alphanumeric part number imprinted on the circuit board. For example, the LAN Communication Board is marked with part number:
DS200LDCCH#ruu
The DS200LDCC portion is the base number that identifies the printed wiring board, in this case, the LAN Communication Board. The r and u digits are alphabetic characters that indicate the board revision level. The r digit reflects a functional change that is not downward compatible. Because of this always use the same division or higher revision. It is essentially a new catalog number. The u digits represent revision levels that are downward compatible.
The H# identifies a group, which is a variation of a particular board.https://directturbinecontrols.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Board-identification.jpg
